Fucking and Punching, a playlist you'll never forget - It's just science

Gone are the days when decades ago couples had sex in sad, sad silence. Pulling out that dusty old gramophone seemed like too much hard work, especially when they were about to get it on. But now, with playlists available at a click of a button, my mistake, I meant - on voice command, there is just no excuse to not have a sexy playlist instantly available.

Sadly, it turns out that many couples still do not share this radical idea of listening to music while having sex. Apparently, it's all too weird.

Luckily, science came to our rescue. Thanks to the study that was conducted by the McGill University, the results proved that these couples are probably just having shitty sex and should reassess their beliefs.

The study found that listening to music prompted the release of dopamine. You know that feel-good chemical which also gets released with good food, good sleep and... good S-E-X!

Double woohoo hoo, right?

So listening to the right music at the right time only enhances emotions, tweaks our feelings and boosts our senses thanks to that dopamine.

Ever heard a song that reminds you of that first kiss or romantic evening? Well, there you have it, it's all feel good stuff.

Associating music with sex or that romantic night out pretty much embeds its way into our memories, and gives him or her something to remember you by.

Then again, I could be making this shit up. But thankfully, science has my back - again.

In another study, conducted by the incredible McGill University, found that listening to the right music increases our arousal, including heart and breathing rate and... skin conductance.

More woohoo hoos!

When we say "the right music", we sort of meant it. The idea of making love while listening to the Punxsutawney Polka, may not be the "right" music.

Quirky beats aside, personally, a good-sex-playlist should be an essential accessory to any closed door event. Why not enhance physical sensations, increase sexual tension and at the same time, release all emotional undertones?

Ok, so you still don't believe me?

Well, it just so happened that Spotify also wanted in on the action, so they conducted their own study in 2012. They wanted to learn what songs we are listening to while we getting our freak on.

Led by music psychologist Daniel Mullensiefen, the study asked 2,000 people in the UK between the ages of 18 and 91 to share what favourite songs they like to listen to while having sex.

91? I know, right?!

Interested in this, a poll was published on TaintedGuava to discover what tracks are most favoured.

And the result? Well, ecstatic to find out that most of the top songs conducted from the Spotify survey, were already in the polls song choices. So, it was decided to share this and created a playlist to help you "Get it on":
